"The cottage is like a warm hug the minute you walk through the door. Our 5 year old thought it was like a fairy tale cottage. It is light, airy, open and inviting. Also very convenient. Julie even had dog beds waiting for our boxers! The gated yard was perfect for the dogs. Our two oldest kids could take their bikes to the bike path to ride, and we all put in at the docks with our canoe/kayak. "This is our third summer in Wolfeboro and our first stay at Cottage on High. This is also our first vacation ever with our dogs. We were so glad that they could come with us. They loved the yard, deck and just looking out the screen door. They adjusted quickly to their temporary second home. The house is just like the pictures, bright, airy and well appointed with comfy beds, furniture, plenty of extra linens, adequate lighting everywhere, plenty of windows and well stocked. The owners really do think of everything. The house is exactly one mile to downtown via the rail trail and 1.2 miles to Albee beach via the rail trail. We used the trail everyday. Everything that you need is within a 1/2-1 mile distance. This location is great for day trips to Meredith, Gunstock, Alton and everything that Conway has to offer as well as Portsmouth. "The cottage is in a private setting that looks out to the woods. It was so peaceful sitting on the sofa looking out the picture window into the woods. Beds were comfortable. We felt right at home and welcomed by owners. Owners provided good communication from the inquiry till check-in and during our stay. The location is good because it is close to town, yet private.
