Whether you want a morning wake-me-up coffee, a place to have a breakfast or lunch, or a meet-up with a friend, you have many places in Wolfeboro to choose from.
Wolfeboro is a small town with a population of about 6200 year round residents. In the summer that swells to 25,000 plus vacationers and tourists. That population increase for a small area requires a lot of coffee, and Wolfeboro can deliver! There are seven coffee shops / cafes in this lakeside town.
In an effort to highlight all of the coffee spots I visited them during the winter when I knew I could get wide open shots of the spaces for this blog article. Keep in mind that these places will be jammed with people in peak vacation seasons and weekends.
Here is a run-down of the places:
Downtown Grille Café – this café is on Main Street. In addition to seating overlooking Main Street to watch people passing by, there is a view of Wolfeboro Bay and an deck for outdoor dining. This is the largest café serving breakfast and lunch which can accommodate large groups dining together.
Lucas Roasting Company – King Street. LRC is committed to roasting the highest quality and freshest gourmet coffee and espresso available. They serve coffee, cappuccino, and espresso and locally made sweet treats. Buy their roasted-on-site whole bean coffee by the bag at the shop or online.
Lydia’s – North Main Street. A small café, that shares an entrance with Made On Earth shop, offers breakfast and lunch. They serve coffee, cappuccino, espresso and a variety of teas. Take away, or dine inside year-round, or enjoy your meal on the deck that overlooks Main Street during warm weather.
North Main Café – Durgin Stable Building, North Main Street. This coffee shop offers coffee, cappuccino, espresso, tea, breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. This café has a roomy dining area that can accommodate larger groups dining together.
Yum Yum – North Main Street. This is a bakery, not a café. Choose from ready made donuts, cookies, pastries, and their signature gingerbread man cookies. They offer pies, cakes, and bread as well. Coffee is self-serve by thermal carafes. Iced coffee is available year round. A large dining area overlooks Wolfeboro Bay.
Wolfeboro is a year-round destination. All of these establishments are open year-round.
